Halo Graphic Novel

h3.jpg

"Bungie sure know how to tantalize gamers. First they show them a glimpse of one of the most anticipated games on the planet at E3, and then pull a Houdini on everyone, dissappearing once again into the deepest bowels of their development studios.

Since Gears of War releases sometime soon, Microsoft probably don't want Halo 3 stealing all the thunder, hence the low-key attitude. Anyway, if you can't satiate those Halo pangs with mere tit-bits and documentaries, you may want to check out the Halo graphic novel, brought to you by none other than Marvel. This anthology won't be a sequel or a prequel to any of the Halo games; in fact it'll be something entirely different, but it'll be set in the Halo universe with all the iconic characters intact.

The Halo book's been in the making for nearly a year and a half now and it's been penned by Andrew Robinson, Ed Lee, Jay Faerber, Lee Hammock, Jean "Moebius" Giraud, Phil Hale, Simon Bisley and Tsutomo Nihei. A number of Bungie employees have provided certain insights to the Halo universe so this should be something to look forward too. The book will be out by the 12th of July (2006) and in case you're looking out for a slight preview, hop on over to Marvel's official site."
